I was recently hired by St.Vladimir’s Institute to produce their quarterly newsletter, VISTI (News). St.Vladimir’s has been a student residence and ukrainian cultural centre in downtown Toronto since 1963 and offers a rich and diverse program of cultural events, including: language lessons, icon painting, lectures, art exhibits, a library and documentation centre, culinary lessons, etc… It seems there is always something going on at St.Vlad’s! Symon’s Pirate Paaaarty
Hard to believe that my little guy is 5 and a half already. Yesterday was his half-birthday so I thought I’d reflect on the fun we had for his Pirate-themed birthday party in March. What 5-year old boy doesn’t want to dress up and pretend to be a pirate for a day? Larisa’s Bridal Shower
Last Sunday, we celebrated the Bridal Shower of my good friend Larisa. I was deeply honoured that her sister (and Maid of Honour), asked me to create a unique invitation package for her special day.
Having known the bride for many years, I know her personal style is a bit more trendy and avant-garde and that a traditional, “girly” invitation would just not reflect her stylish ways. The invitation needed to reflect Larisa, be casual, yet pay homage to the formal venue – Toronto’s Old Mill – a beautiful, elegant and traditional setting.
